Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) is a non-profit organization recognized nationally by Ministry of Health Malaysia and Standards Malaysia as the leading Malaysian organization which promotes and improves quality and safety in the provision of healthcare services in Malaysia. MSQH is further recognised internationally by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua). MSQH aims to promote Quality and Safety in Malaysian healthcare through standards development and implementation of the Malaysian Accreditation Program for Healthcare Facilities and Services.
MSQH has developed the 5th edition hospital accreditation standards and has developed standards for medical clinics, chronic dialysis, dental services and clinical research centre. MSQH has been accredited by ISQua for its organisation and surveyor’s training program until July 2020. Since 2014, MSQH has initiated and collaborated with the World Health Organisation (WHO) to launch and implement the Patient for Patient Safety Malaysia movement. MSQH now has a total number of 1238 members and has accredited 169 hospitals comprising of 114 public and 55 private hospitals.
